MONEY

Do you really think it matters??
All this suffering,
Continous breathing,
Trying to be the best you can be at what your good at, just to find out that any kind of meaning to this life amounts to money.

You find your skill,
Your passion to pursue, but if it's not making you any money, it automatically brings into question whether or not it is worth pursuing.

Sure, you enjoy what your doing, but is it worth anything??

Is anything non academic worth pursuing in this life?

We're taught at a young age to be good at maths as to be able to add and subtract our money we make when we're old enough to get a job, but, not to be great at mathematics as to be able to solve the secrets of the universe.

Imaginations are said to be almost diminished by the time one reaches their mid 30's leaving only the capabilities of utilizing skills of an academic nature based upon knowledge gained from attending school (in those most critical years of our lives).

We go to school to learn, thats right, we learn...
We learn how to count money, we learn how to behave infront of authority figures, we learn that unless you are good at maths and science and politics and all the academic subjects they throw at you, you are not going to get a good job.

What is it to have a "good" job, well, it's a job that pays well. It is a place where you give up your life and time to serve another. The more time and energy you put into this job, the more you will be rewarded with money.

Then what is a bad job?, I hear you ask.
A bad job is a job that requires you to use your imagination. Something that allows you to escape reality through thought, an activity which can also help with developing New ideas, other ways of looking at life and portraying these ideas and thoughts to others, just like an artist would with their artwork, or an inventor would with their new idea. Basically, anything that promotes independent thought and a creative mind is a bad job.

Yes, we learn all this at school.
For instance, in primary school when you should be learning how to read and right and how to construct sentences properly, the majority of the time you are asked the question, "what do you want to be when you grow up?" leaving a child's creative mind to ponder such a stupid notion.

In High school when you are meant to have some sort of rough idea to this ridiculous question, you are allowed to pick the subjects of your choice, mostly around the year 9 level, because by then, you have been told that "you can be anything you want" and should have a rough idea at the types of subject you enjoy doing. You meet with the schools career adviser and they help you pick the subjects you require in order to achieve your goal of becoming what "you"want to be. If you want to be a photographer or an artist, or even a designer, you are made to pick all the art related subjects, if you want to become a physician or an engineer, you are made to pick all the technical subjects. Automatically, you become devided amongst your peers and at the end of your high school sentence, you are scored based on how much and how well your ability to recollect information is through exams.
Obviously, even a not so smart technical subject student is going to get a higher score than the most articulated creative subject puplil, because that is what the technical subject pupils are trained to do. (all day everyday, including after school hours, they are fed and recalling so much useless information). Where as the creative subject pupils are made to think outside the box they live in.

Sure, almost everyone wants to be able to be creative and imaginative in their choice of work. But, the truth is that if you put your energy and time into something else other than making money, you are not going to get to, be apart of, or even be acknowledged as anyone who has any kind of value to impute on this earth.

Why am I even sharing this with you, when I already know that all it would take is for people to stop investing so much energy into this way of being, to remember that all governing bodies implemented in all countries are there to serve the people of there ruling counties and not the other way around.

There's no balance any more.
